Important Dates of CTET Notification 2023 

According to the CTET exam notification for 2023, the online application process will begin in the third week of June 2023. Candidates will be able to submit their applications until the second week of July 2023. The CTET 2023 exam is scheduled to be held in the first week of September 2023. CTET Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for the CTET examination are as follows:

For Primary Level Teachers (Class I-V):

Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

(OR.)Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

For Upper Primary Level Teachers (Class VI-VIII):

Candidates should have passed Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

Candidates should have passed Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

OR

Candidates should have passed Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Special Education.

OR

Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B. A / B.Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc. Ed.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test Exam Pattern:

The CTET examination consists of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is for candidates who want to teach classes I to V, while Paper II is for candidates who want to teach classes VI to VIII. Candidates who want to teach classes I to VIII need to appear for both Paper I and Paper II.

CTET Exam Paper I:

The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours.

The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark.

The sections in the exam include Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (compulsory), Language II (compulsory), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.
